Associations, Federations and Societies

Which associations are active in musical life?

Numerous organisations are involved in musical life in Germany. The German Music Information Centre (miz) lists institutions whose tasks are nationwide or international; In individual cases, state or regional organisations are also listed due to special historical or regional circumstances.
Many of the associations and societies shown are divided into state associations. The miz lists these under the corresponding associations. For reasons of capacity, the miz does not list the numerous regional and local societies and associations that play an indispensable role in the musical life of states, regions, cities and communities.
