How many musical theatres are there in Germany?

The German Music Information Centre (miz) lists more than 10 venues in Germany that focus their programming exclusively or primarily on musical productions throughout the year. Seasonal open-air theatres are therefore not listed. Musical stages are usually financed by private sponsors. The management positions of the individual facilities as well as the respective productions are described, provided they run over several months or years (long runs). In addition, musicals are an integral part of the repertoire of many opera houses and multidiscipline theatres throughout Germany. This describes the miz under publicly funded music theatres.
