State Music Councils and Conference of State Music Councils

What does a state music council do?

A state music council is the umbrella organisation for musical life in its respective federal state. The state music councils are members of the German Music Council. The conference of the state music councils serves to exchange experiences, form opinions and provide mutual information. The German Music Information Centre (miz), itself an institution of the German Music Council, lists the state music councils with their management structures and facilities.
