What music competitions are there in Germany?

There are professional, semi-professional and amateur music competitions. The German Music Information Centre (miz) lists music competitions which are based or held in Germany, provided they are held regularly and are announced at least statewide.
This does not include the large number of music competitions at regional and municipal level or competitions that only allow applicants from specific organisations (e.g. educational and training institutions). Evaluation competitions organised by amateur music associations are also not listed.
