Order publications

Around 400 federations, associations and societies are involved in music in Germany with a nationwide and sometimes international orientation. Smaller associations dedicated to individual instruments or composers are among them, as are large organisations that represent the interests of entire professional groups or sectors.

The infographic poster “Spektrum der Musikverbände” (Spectrum of Music Associations) presents an overview of the organisations and illustrates the network of relationships between their areas of activity. Also in focus: What is the importance of the organisations in musical life, and what special role does the German Music Council play as the umbrella organisation of the music associations?

The fifth edition of the poster series “Music Life in Figures” is available as a handy folding version with a full-page infographic on the inside and an explanatory article on the back, along with an organisation chart of the German Music Council.
