Von den Festivals und Musikfestspielen für Weltmusik in Bayern verzeichnet das Deutsche Musikinformationszentrum (miz) eine begrenzte Auswahl von Veranstaltungen im professionellen und semiprofessionellen Bereich. Diese finden in regelmäßigem Turnus statt; ihre Programme sind außerdem überwiegend musikgeprägt und heben sich durch internationale Aspekte oder besondere thematische Schwerpunkte aus dem normalen Konzertangebot wesentlich heraus.
