State Libraries and Regional Libraries

Which state and regional libraries have musical holdings?

State and regional libraries have the task of supplying a specific region with scientific literature and information and collecting literature from and about a specific region. In some cases, they also serve as regional archives. The largest libraries include the Berlin State Library and the Bavarian State Library, which also perform supra-regional tasks. State libraries often have their own music collections.
The German Music Information Centre (miz) lists all state and regional libraries that have music collections and lists central music-related holdings, provided these have been communicated by the libraries.
