National productions continue to make up a large part of the German longplay charts. International productions are becoming more popular again.

According to the German Music Industry Association (Bundesverband Musikindustrie), the share of national productions in the Top 100 longplay was around two thirds between 2014 and 2020. In recent years, their share has fallen to a level of approx. 60 %.

It was until 2010 that international longplay productions made up the majority in the Top 100 charts.
